Always wanted to make a Gumball Machine or a Snow Globe but could never find a right size of a glass container until now ….so I thought. Terra Cotta pot with its matching saucer (actually 2 saucers)
Glass container
Wooden bead
Paint
Hot Glue Gun with glue sticks
Paint brush

Just because my terra cotta pots are super red painting it light color a a background to is appropriate I like to use Chalk paint for almost everything but you can use anything you have around the house. Cover your terra cotta pots with one coat of paint and let it dry .

As I was waiting for paint to dry I decided to finish my Dollar Tree leaf project that was already ready for last step. Have to tell you it turn out awesome!

Harlequin pattern diy steps

Time to come back to my snow globe gumball now. Original plan was to just paint and decorate with a bow, some wooden beads but now I changed my mind ( thanks to a leaf project I mentioned earlier) Let’s make some patterns!! Black and White patterns! So chalk paint will not be enough for what I had in mind now. I am going to use Decor Art -Gloss Enamel as it shows below.

Pencil lightly your pattern and go for it. Remember don’t be intimidated …it doesn’t have to be perfect. All at the end will look awesome! This is actually my top!

It may not make a sense looking at the pictures and all those different patterns but rest sure I am making only one gumball /snow globe. Have to admit that I had soooo much fun coming up with different patterns.

I also used that paint to go over white portions of my pattern but it is optional.

Now it is time to take care of wooden parts of our project. Gold always stands out beautifully with black and white. Spray paint was my only option at home.

You may wonder where do I got those random pieces of wood from. Some of them came from Hobby Lobby box of scrap wood, some were collected from woodworkers shop that I visited durning the summer. I made so many projects with them!

Wow!! They look really good!! Don’t you think so?

Just because, all started to really look soo good … ( I am not bragging but I am myself surprised how all beautiflly came together) my dollar tree glass container was too small to handle all that design. Thank goodness I have succulent glass bowl that is big and it seams to be a perfect fit for all those patterns.
