Chic Dollar Tree Pumpkin Makeover -DIY
Fall is my favorite season for Dollar Tree pumpkin crafts and makeovers of course. I have done so many already. It is fair to say that I am addicted to pumpkins….lol. There is something magical in pumpkins. Love to try different textures on them. Going to list some of them at the end of the post so make sure to check those out. Today I like to transform those simple squshy pumpkins to a one elegant super easy Chic Fall fall Decor DIY! Did I mention that I like to bring you budget friendly fall decor ideas?
Things that you need
- Pumpkin
- Paint ( I used chalky acrylic paint)
- Hot Glue Gun with Sticks
Instructions are easy… heat up your hot glue gun and let your imagination go wild. I am going to do swirls this time but you can do dots, lines or whatever you like. Just have fun with your pumpkins!
When hot glue cools off on your pumpkin, you can go ahead and start to paint. I was using chalk acrylic paint but you can also spray paint it for smoother look.
Just because I am a rustic kind of girl with a touch of glam chalk painting is perfect for me. I do suggest to add 2 coats of paint so original pumpkin color doesn’t show through.
You can also, like me paint your second coat different color and sand off with a sending block a bit to show layers like I did. It looks awesome too!
Project is fo fun to do so I decided also to try paint first before Hot glue application to see which one is easier …I need to admit painting first is the way I liked better because it was easier to see my hot glue swirls.
I am afraid I am slightly addicted to pumpkins …ha ha ha. Introducing to you my by far favorite Chick Dollar Tree pumpkin upgrade!
