Just wonder what to do with other old and unwanted books you have in the corner? Instead of throwing them away, you can upcycle them into things you want to keep around the house. What about creating something interesting for your accent wall? Let’s make Book Pages Vintage star. Love good Vintage home decor diy…don’t you?
Supplies needed for our project
- book pages
- star shape ( I used metal star from dollar spot at the Target)
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
I just happened to be lucky and picked up that metal star at the Target Dollar spot at the end of summer. It is roughly 15″ so it is nice size. If you don’t have one you can of course cut one out of cardboard.
Since I like my star to have Vintage look I decided to cover it with a coat of chalk paint.
As all is drying it is time to work on book pages. Just roll them up and secure each roll with hot glue or tacky glue.
Watch your corners as you hot glue each rolled book page to the edge of the star.
Here is a quick video recap
I simply love how all came together . Perfect vintage piece that will bring so much character to my accent wall

Just happened that I had wooden unfinished star that perfectly serves as a background to my Vintage Book Pages star. I don’t remember exactly where I go mine … it may be Michaels in their wooden pieces area. Here is similar 3D unfinished star from Amazon
