Just wonder what to do with other old and unwanted books you have in the corner? Instead of throwing them away, you can upcycle them into things you want to keep around the house. What about creating something interesting for your accent wall? Let’s make Book Pages Vintage star. Love good Vintage home decor diy…don’t you? Let’s make Book pages wall decor diy !
Supplies needed for our project
- book pages
- star shape ( I used metal star from dollar spot at the Target)
- paint
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
Book Pages are my all time favorite crafts. This top hat made from paper started to decorate my tree and now with change or embellishments is on display year round. All details how I made it can be found HERE
I just happened to be lucky and picked up that metal star at the Target Dollar spot at the end of summer. It is roughly 15″ so it is nice size. If you don’t have one you can of course cut one out of cardboard.
Before we move on to my project in this blog check out the one I made earlier with my Star. I am MacKenzie -Childs products obsessed lately.. so I am giving you a fair warning ..lol
Let’s work on our Vintage home decor diy
Since I like my star to have Vintage look I decided to cover it with a coat of chalk paint.
As all is drying it is time to work on book pages. Just roll them up and secure each roll with hot glue or tacky glue.
Watch your corners as you hot glue each rolled book page to the edge of the star.
Here is a quick video recap of book pages wall decor !
I simply love how all came together . Perfect vintage piece that will bring so much character to my accent wall
