Super Cute Fabric Owl DIY
Are you looking for something fun to make with your kids little puppets is always fun. I have made soo many but the one I am going to share details here is the one I just learned recently. I love challenges so I decided to make one. Are you ready to have fun with me and make Super Cute Fabric Owl Diy ? I promise they are so easy to make. It is also perfect project do do with kids
Things you need to make owl diy
- fabric scraps -2 different kinds
- hot glue gun and sticks
- poly-fill
- buttons and wooden beads
Let’s begin
To make life easier for me and hopefully for you I simply outlined my dinner plate on a paper towel and got myself a template that was much easier to work with
Cutting my circle from the fabric was much easier when my dinner plate template and fabric was folded in half together as it shows in the picture below
So proud of myself since I am not really a seamstress . Love to try new things all the time so bare with me it will for sure work
My goal was to cut a triangle out of the circle we just created so I folded my fabric in half and cut it on the angle around 9 inches at the tip of triangle as it shows on the pictures below
As you can see now we have rounded off triangle that will serve as main body of our owl. Let’s now concentrate on its “belly “
I decided to cut my burlap ribbon 6 by 6 square
all you need to do is to cut a triangle and simply round off one side to mirror the other piece of fabric
Glue each side of your smaller circle to a our bigger one and were are almost done
My baby owl is patiently waiting to meet its mommy …look how cute she is. Perfect project with kids
All we need to do is to stuff with poly- fill and close all up and we are almost done. Our puppet owl is really coming together.
In order to keep our owl nicely shape I would suggest to close all up from the sides first just as you see it on the picture below
it is much easier to tuck in front and the back of our puppet
To add a bit of interest to my owl head I decided to add some yarn that I tied together and installed under leftover fabric
I decided to add some eyes made out of buttons and black wooden beads to complete my Fabric owl … Here they are … mommy and its baby
