Egg Carton Carrot
My Mom is a big portion of who am I today. She taught me soo many things but most importantly she told me how to think outside the box. I am so grateful for that. Trying to apply that all the time. I cherished my time with her and all lessons she gave me. We loved to create things together, we loved to share our ideas. We loved to turn every day items into fun seasonal decorations. Egg cartons projects were my favorite crafts! Today I like to attempt to make a carrot out of egg cartons. Have you ever made one yet? Shall we begin our fun of Spring Easter decor on the budget? I am so looking for fun tiered tray Spring decor accessory so that maybe it

How to make an egg carton carrot
Today I like to share another egg carton project which I hope inspire you to give a try. Just because I was just making my egg carton flowers I have lots of ends of carton so I decided to put that to use
- All what I did was to scallop some on one side
- I knew some of my eggs holders needed to be used too so I cut its base and scalloped also
- Just because carrot needs to have nice spike I decided to roll couple scallops at the time and secure them with hot glue . Have to admit I was a bit skeptical at first but my Mom’s voice was sounding off .. just keep on adding .. so I did
- As you can see my carrot is shaping beautify into nice 3D like form. As my carrot was growing I was increasing amount of rolled scalloped egg carton pieces to form that nice big cluster and bring more interest
My carrot grew into around 8 inches piece and I thought I am satisfied with that. It will make a perfect little accent on my tiered tray. You can read more about that TRAY PROJECT HERE
Let’s add some color shall we ?
My carrot is looking super cool already but we need to kick it up a notch. I decided to give my new Spring Easter decor nice coat of orange. You can for sure paint that with paintbrush too.
As my carrot was drying I was on the mission to find some cool top for it so I decided to use some raffia. Right of the bat I realized that the only color I had was natural. Thank Goodness my dear friend L’Briska from My Eclectic Treasures just shared her idea on how to troubleshoot that. She colored her raffia !!! You can read more about it HERE . I decided to mute my greens a bit for my project but loved that idea of coloring your own
Little big of my freshly new raffia and a simple jute bow completed my egg carton carrot
