Let’s start from the beginning and talk about Napkin Burning decoupage tips

As I mentioned earlier this idea was brought up to me by my Sassies in the Napkin Club but as i learned later when I shared to my Facebook Page this was originated by Country Outback Crafts right on the Facebook. I am soo obsessed with it now and all those wooden cutouts like the one below or flower petals are piece of a cake now to decoupage!

Supplies needed for napkin burning

• Mod Podge or glue stick
• napkin of your choice
• surface made out of wood or metal especially with small intricate cuts

My first try at napkin burning technique was flower I made out of aluminum pan from Dollar Tree ..lol yup I have tried that first. Even though my petals were big fire burning was so much fun ! it is not perfect but i love this whole process

I have learned a lot in the homemade flower in the club so I decided to put to use some blank metals flowers to use and try my napkin burning decoupage technique there! Look how awesome it turned out! If you follow me for some time you know I love MacKenzie Childs accents so my flower had to have some checks in it too

There are some tricks to napkin burning I learned

• make sure that your surface is Mod-Podged on entirely to the edge
• cut some napkin flyaways before you burn to avoid smoke staining on your piece you are burning
• as with anything that involves fire keep a water near by
