I like to bring you today some budget friendly home decor idea that you can display all year round. Don’t you just love evergreen decor ? I know I do!
Let’s have some fun with Dollar Tree tinsel hearts today! I would love to create something rustic that I can for sure keep in my house all year round. This project was on my mind for the longest time but just couldn’t find right wire to make it. Dollar tree really made that easy for me! Are you ready for Shabby Chic Heart makeover ? How about raffia heart with some easy drop cloth flower ?
Have you seen those heart in the Dollar Tree ? They do have a super cool profile so my project will be super easy to make!
Items needed to complete that project
- “>raffia
- “>drop cloth
- ribbon
Let’s have fun and begin our transformation
My goal was to remove all shiny tinsel out of those hearts and expose frame of them. As you can see those Dollar Tree hearts have nice spikes all around that will for sure help me with my project…..
Look at that nice profile!! I can’t wait to put all together and see if this heart makeover will look as I imagined
Hot glue your two Dollar tree heart together all around rim
if you follow me for some time you know that I love raffia! Love love love everything about it but I am picky when it comes to its quality. Love that goldfish soft look to it . Check out that picture below .. How gorgeous is that! I was even lucky and was able to pick up the longest one so it will be easier to maneuver in this project
Directions are pretty easy .. pick a bunch of it and secure with the hot glue and begin wrapping your heart. Thank goodness for those little spikes on the edge so it is much easier.
As you can see I am wrapping my Dollar Tree heart in super random pattern . I absolutely love all that hot mess I see! Do you ? So much character !!! love love love
My heart is really shaping out nicely! All I need is to clean up a bit … that means cut here and there .. hot glue here and there but not a lot and move on to another part of my project to make this evergreen heart look even better

Agnes, your heart craft really speaks to me! You’ve used two of my favorite things…raffia and drop cloth. I love the neutral hues for Valentine’s Day or all year long. Thanks for sharing! It was fun hopping with you 🙂
