What you need to make Wooden Beads Christmas ornament
Step by step instructions to make Star diy
You will need around 30 wooden beads of any size. You can also mix them with sizes but that maybe complicated to start with so we will work with one size
Length of wire is questionable … but don’t worry I will tell you how to figure that out …. You know I figure things as I go. What you need to do is to create circle of 12 beads on your counter and cut 4 lengths of that from wire in one piece of course . I hope I was clear enough but even if you run out of wire you can always add more
Thread 12 beads
Thread beads back and then pull it all tight through the next but one bead of the first circle Repeat this step 5 times until you get back to the first bead.
That is what it should look like now . Pull wooden beads tight and create circle . Separate your wire and lets move to second row
Thread 2 wooden beads through and insert wire into second bead in your first row ( circle ) This 2 beads this are the first tip of the star. See picture below Then pass the wire through the 2nd bead of the 2nd row. Repeat that step until you end up where you started
I really hope that those pictures help you … Will for sure make a video on that to make it easier. As you can see each 2 beads in the second row are separated by one bead from circle row
As our second row is finished and 6 groupings are created it is time to finish each with one bead to create tip. Thread one bead and return wire into a wooden bead in the second , then to first and repeat that all around
and our star is done! Perfect wooden beads Christmas decor and beyond. I love to create evergreen decor that I can use around the house all year round. What is wrong with pretty star in your home decor year round shining on you?

Just because I love to have them around all year round I decided to add some color but of course it is optional. I am so into mercury effect lately so I decided to go for it. You can read about that technique below
Spring Moss Mercury Glass DIY. It is super fun technique but of course in my star making I didn’t use any vinegar.

What really is surprising to me is a fact that I am not really a big fan of gold but it seams I am super ok with bits of it around the house. Quick coat of my metallic gold paint got me there followed by another gentle layer of silver metallic spray paint.
Love that shading of gold and silver on my wooden bead star, It will for sure look awesome with my other Christmas decor.
You could leave the way it is or simply add a tiny satin bow to decorate wooden beads ornament diy
