How to make Hula Hoop WHEEL Wreath

Are you like me looking at all those beautiful wheel wreaths out there on Etsy thinking I so need one on my door. If you are you may actually really like that project. You know that I love to re-invent a wheel ..lol very often so this project is not any different. I just like to warn you it is my first take on this project with things I had on hand but I do know that it is not my last time I am going to make that project. Are you ready to make with me Wheel Wreath on the budget with things that you most likely already have on hand? I am aiming to make Farmhouse style spring wreath for my door . Shall we put to use a hula hoop from Dollar Tree to use to make that wreath? Spring to Summer Wreath diy on its way

Supplies needed to complete Spring wheel wreath

small hula hoop from Dollar Tree or any child size one you have
burlap
twine
cardboard (for the center)
floral picks
hot glue gun and glue sticks

How to make wheel wreath easy

cut 8 pieces of twine long enough to wrap double hula hoop ( you may cut less it is all about personal preference). They will serve as our wheel spokes (metal rods)
tie them on opposite side

make sure that each time to add a twine all nicely meets in the middle before you secure it with dab of hot glue

hot glue center of your twine
cut 2 circle out of cardboard and cover it with burlap

sandwich your twine in between both circles and secure it with hot glue. I decided also to embellish that with half bead. Got to admit hula hoop wreath is looking better and better with each little piece added

cut a 6 inch of strip from your burlap to cover your wheel and disguise your twine

fold in half and begin hot glueing all around without pressing on the twine

use two pieces of twine and weave all around to finish folded burlap. Do you see that rustic Farmhouse feel to a wreath ?

How to make easy Burlap Bow

This bow technique I learned from my friend L’Briska at My Eclectic treasures. All details you can find HERE It is the simplest bow that you do want to learn how to make.

start with awareness bow
grab top portion and bring over to crossed portion below
secure with twine, zip-tie or another ribbon
fluff and it is done

All you need to do is add some of your favorite florals and attach a bow under it … easy right ? I can really feel Farmhouse style in this spring wreath
