How to make paper maple leaf
As with everything I use what I have around me. Just because I was packing some orders I had lots of Dollar Tree big yellow envelopes on hand that were perfect for this leaf project. They are yellow so no brainer! Plus the do have 2 sides so I can make 2 leaves at the time!
- cut the flap out of your envelope and begin to fold pleads. You can make them as big as you like or as small as you like. It all depends on how big is your paper. Keep in mind that you have to have 7 pleads to make maple leaf
- make 7 pleads. Mine are a bit bigger then 1 inch
- time to draw a leaf profile pattern . You could use a maple leaf as your guide or follow my pencil markings below. There is no wrong doing. Most important parts are those indented loops that sets a tone for leaf shape. You can do it! Make sure all your connections are spiky as maple leaf is

Maple leaf is cut! Can you see it yet? Just because I used yellow paper I really didn’t have to make anything with it but wanted to show you that kids like zig zags with some acrylic paint add so much interest.
You could concentrate on some areas and make pretty designs but I went for random lines on my pleads
Make sure your paper maple leaf template is dry for this next step. It is time to re-inforce your pleads again since they might of faded off with painting
Assembly time!
Fold your paper leaf in half as it is pleaded again and secure with a string or pipe cleaner . Connect top pleads with tacky glue and you are all done!
