Folded Book Pages Tree
Folding paper all different ways to create fun projects is my all time favorite. It was actually the only material we had lot of to craft with back in Poland. No Dollar Trees for sure. Today I like to show you another fun way to make a tree. It is sort of super easy origami paper fun. Are you ready to have fun folding some 3D book pages trees? Perfect Christmas tree paper craft
Supplies needed
- book pages but scrapbook paper is fine too
- tacky glue
- skewer
How to fold easy 3D book pages tree
Let’s get our book pages ready and cut them into squares . As you can see I have 4 sizes times 2. My biggest one is 4 inches and then 3.5, 3 and 2.5
Let’s begin folding easy paper origami trees
- Fold each square in half diagonally
- fold then once in half
Grab each side and create a sandwich … as you can see on the pictures below. Your sides of tree are folded. Now we need to create additional effect
Grab a side and fold to the center. Repeat on the other side to create that look of paper airplane
and you are done ! One side of your tree is done. Easy right ?
I absolutely love this project! it goes so fast and have such a nice final. Look. Fold all them took no time whatsoever. You can fold 6 different sizes to make bigger tree but for now let’s stop with that.
So now it is time to put or Christmas origami 3D tree together. That process is so rewarding. I like to start from the smallest part and build my way down. Love that paper craft a lot
Paper craft loves to have Elmers glue or tacky glue the best but I have also folded that tree with hot glue but you need to be super careful so you will not loose your 3D effect. As you can see below I added a bit of tacky glue to the back but letting my front folds to be free
Paper craft at its best
In this paper craft is all about stacking.. inserting into into another. How cute is that !Can you see already origami 3D taking its shape
Remember we are making a 3D tree so its time to get a skewer or stick ready and attach to it.
Fold other set of your tree
Glue second folded tree on the back and and you are all set.
and if you let your folds go .. tree will slightly open up to create that 3D effect. How cool is that. You could go over and make them unfold less but I do like that look . Attach a star or a bow and your tree is done
