Do you love to make your own ornaments? Making my own Christmas decor brings so many warm memories about my Mom. She was the best teacher! Loved my time with Mom making our own decor. We didn’t have crafting stores as you know so we crafted with what we had at the house. Today I like to share with you some Christmas ideas with embroidery hoops. We had always lots of fun making those easy Christmas ornaments diy in the house. Lets make some fun Rustic Christmas ornaments

Supplies you need to create ornaments

3 inch embroidery hoop
book pages or musical notes
burlap or any fabric or your choice that fits your decor idea
embellishments of your choice
hot glue gun and glue sticks
twine
ribbon

Directions to make embroidery hoop Christmas ornaments diy are super easy. As I was always taught by my Mama.. simple is the best .

The ones we had at home had already nice dark wood stain to it so not much prep work needed to be done. The ones you can get here are light wood ones but they are cost effective. It is so easy to change its color. You can stain them or simply paint them to fit your decor color palette

Just because I wanted them to have that old school look I decided to stain them with water based stain.Process is super easy .. apply some to your surface with distribute and wipe most of it all with baby wipe

Let the embellishment begin

If you choose to use your musical notes or book pages you will need to cut a square that is slightly bigger then a hoop to have that nice installation. Remove one part of the embroidery hoop lay your musical notes or book pages and secure that with another part or embroidery hoop as it shown below

Remove excess of paper and begin to decorate. You can decorate either side of the embroidery hoop. If you follow me for some time you know I love to use natural elements in my decor so green branches with some berries and tiny bells were my pick for that easy Christmas diy. Whatever you pick for your decor just tie with twine or ribbon embellish and hot glue to your ornament
