Holiday Wall Picture Frame Makeover

Several weeks ago one of my dearest friends that know I love to give makeovers to random things send me a picture of wall picture frame and said she got them for me to have fun with! I was so happy about it. I knew I will for sure turn them into something but didn’t know exactly when and how. Last night as I was decorating my fireplace for the holidays I was missing something so I went on the hunt and shopped my house … Anything I found in the house would work but that would mean that I have to work on other areas that I was not ready…. So I decided to do a quick makeover to a picture frame my friend brought for me. Let’s make quick holiday picture frame makeover for the fireplace

Let's do quick holiday picture frame makover and bring some heaight to fireplace in style for Chrismtas.

As you can see it does have awesome profile and size too but I wasn’t ready for full blown makeover so I decided to work with the back of that frame for now . Good think I had no intention to hang it just lean against wall.

Let’s work on Wall Picture makeover

As you can see that frame was done well so it does have nice brow paper backing on it. I actually decided to expose the back of it and see what I can do with it

Back of the picture was acutally looking pretty good so if I would have time I would just add some nice fabric over it but that would take time and I need that now …lol. I decided to use construction paper that I always have and cut to a size to fit my frame

Just because my frame wasn’t looking too interesting on the back I decided quickly to paint with my Apple Barrel Acrylic Pavement paint and highlight it here and there with my Rusty Penny from Deco Art.

Wow absolutely love how all turned out .. Don’t you ? Now it is time to fit the back of the picture with construction paper and secure it all with hot glue

Install time

Time to work on my favorite part …. decorating. As always I went to shop my house and found soooo many goodies to decorate my frame with …Several weeks ago I bought a wreath at Amazon just because it was sparkly …lol so I decided to put it into use. Here are some I found on Amazon for you if you like to make similar projects

it is dark here but I do like what I see so I decided to secure my wreath on the frame with a bit of hot glue

Well just because we just brought some fresh Christmas tree home last night I have few clippings so I decided to put them into use too

Have to admit all seemed to be working so nicely together as I can see. Didn’t want to bring too much to a frame so I decided to only outline circle of my wreath with some clippings
