I am super excited to share this project with you! Well, it is a project that I wouldn’t think I would be doing any time soon. I guess we should never say never ..lol. It is actually one of my favorite Dollar Tree makeover I have done to a date. Have you ever worked with Pizza Pan from Dollar Tree for your home decor? Wonder what you used that for. Supplies needed to complete this awesome tray

pizza pan
Wallpaper or any 3 D textured paper
Mod Podge
Gold Leaf with adhesive
wooden beads
Clear wax
Dark wax
Drawer pull

I so love texture and have so many to choose from. I just pulled out couple patterns that I am thinking to use in this project. Aren’t they looking awesome?

Decision is made! Just because my intention is to use some of gold leaf I decided to use big pattern paper to make things easier and just simply experiment a bit. I can already picture my Dollar Tree tray! Can you?

Decision is made time to put all together

My goal was to only paint rim of my pizza pan and the bottom of it . No need to paint pan entirely since wall paper is super thick and will cover metal perfectly

Don’t you just love that paper? It is acutally a wallpaper that I used to have an accent wall in my house. So happy I kept leftovers! Why wouldn’t you right.

Let’s apply gold leaf to our surface future tray straight from Dollar Tree

If you follow me for some time you do know I love details… love to accent certain features with color that is often gold or dark wax. Just because my wallpaper had already sooo many beautiful swirls I decided to use my gold leaf.

Have you ever applied Gold leaf before? It is super fun process! All you need is gold leaf adhesive and you are good to go. What I like to do is use brush to apply thin coat of it to an area where gold leaf will be applied. Ideally you like to wait couple of minutes for this substance to come to tack. Gold leaf flakes were perfect for this project. Apply the to the are add a pressure to gold leaf and give 5 minutes before you are going to start a clean up process that will expose your design

I know I am not going to stop there … this Dollar Tree pizza pan is starting to look awesome already and it needs a bit more of details so I decided to put Dollar Tree shiny necklace to use and trim all around. Just because my necklaces were too bright and colorful I decided to dry brush them with chalk paint and cover them with clear wax

Sometimes it seams project aligns itself. How lucky I was finding in my junk drawer couple of pulls that actually worked perfect for my project. Little half beads on the bottom to serve as my legs and I am all set.

I so love to make trays of any kind.. It is not made out of pizza pan but I so love detail on it

I couldn’t be more happy to see this tray coming to life in any space. Even my frog is super happy with it.
