Coastal Wreath Wall Idea

This project came about by accident again. I just had so many shells left from Dollar Tree and buttons in my goodie drawer so it was time to organize it. It is almost Christmas time so its time to put some Christmas wall decor ideas out there. Are you ready to make some Coastal Christmas diy with me? Shall we make a shells diy. Love easy Christmas crafting.

I knew I didn’t have andy wreath form handy but that is not a big deal.. you could make your own out of cardboard to securely attach shells. What I did have was a canvas on which I was practicing some crackle. I knew it that one day my canvas will be useful.

There are so many ways to make a wreath on a flat surface. You could use sticks, twine or rope but I chose to make it with moss. As you can see in the picture before I drew a circle with pen and all I had to do is cover its perimeter with moss that look like wilted sea weed. at least in my eyes

Love that greyish green moss! Grab yours HERE

green moss for crafting

Loved how my moss outlined my wreath so I didn’t want to crowd it as much so decided to throw groupings of buttons in 3 different sizes every 2 or 3 inches as you could see on the first picture below. From then I decided to add some shells in different colors. Some were glued with facing center of a wreath some were installed on the other edge.

net ribbon

Wish I had net ribbon with gold but the only ones i had were green and white . It was just not working for me for this project so I had to get creative

ok. let’s talk bow.. Yes I did have net ribbon to make a bow so I attempted to make one out of shells. it is easy 2 big shell installed on the back covered partially with smaller one on top.

Just because it was meant to be for Christmas I needed to bring some traditional red to make up for a bow tails..lol How about that!

added some of mini starfish accents since its a Christmas wreath some pearl string and I think I am done. I was even able to add some baby Jesus there too .. Can you see it ?

In my eyes pearls were perfect since my button had that pearl hue to it .. Wonder what you think about my choices for my Christmas coastal wreath. Love me my shells wreath
