As promised myself I will be adding my projects that I completed on Facebook to my blog just for your convince. It is for sure much easier to find projects with videos here. Last night in our Christmas in July event with my fellow crafters all i wanted to do is to make some flowers. Making just flowers would be boring in the event so I was looking for cool idea to add them too. There are so many ways but today I decided to put Dollar Tree Pizza pan to use. I so wanted to make some poinsettia flowers. Just because I have never made them before my go to material was coffee filters. Shall we make coffee filter poinsettia? How to dye coffee filters

Let’s make poinsettia out of coffee filters flowers
As you know poinsettias are also come in different colors too. Today I like to make them in red since that is what they look like on my calendar page below. This time I dipped my coffee filters into beet juice and didn’t rinse them so they will stay vibrant. Love beets not because of its color but also because they brig sooo many nutrients. Making a decision on what should I use my calendar page wasn’t difficult..lol Everyone is using them on pizza pan so guess what I will too. Not going to lie I was super nervous since I have never done those calendar pages but there has to be always that first time right…lol If you follow me for some time you know i love to try new things and I really don’t mind to embarrass myself here and there. It is part of learning right ?
I love to examine my main component of my craft before I start so I did the same thing with my calendar page from Dollar Tree. Page is square and pizza pan is round …lol that is one big difference. In order for me to get my flowers to fit with all that page had on it i had no choice then to cut all out. It sounded easy until i noticed that background of calendar page is peachy beige that is not going to be easy to perfectly match.
After few minutes of trying to color much I decided to crackle my background to hide those little shades differences. Do you know how to crackle ?
