Christmas in July Coastal Edition
What a fun week it was ! We were crafting all Christmas again with my friends on Facebook. It was a challenge I have to admit …all Christmas supplies are packed away so things needed to get super creative. This time around July was super hot and humid so those ideas were not coming easy. As I was looking around my craft area I spotted some shells from Dollar Tree so I decided to go into Coastal Christmas crafting this time .. My plan was to make some shell crafts. I was on the mission to make some shell angels, tree and maybe a wreath to celebrate this round of Christmas in July crafting
Coastal Christmas home decor ideas
Have to admit Dollar Tree had super nice selection of white shells this time around. Yes they did have other colors too but if you follow me for some time you know I am almost colorless creator.
Shell Christmas Tree
My first project that I decided to make was a Christmas tree. I am acutally super pleased with outcome of it but of course there is always but .. I didn’t have a proper tree topper. Star fish I had was way to big for my tree
I know i had to look for smaller star fish but in the meantime i decided to make my own coral like topper . Check picture below. I made it using hot glue and some diamond dust

I was actually surprised after my tree was done that I still had so many shells left so here is my next project supply list . I am aiming on coastal Christmas .. i so need to keep this in my mind
I so thought all this will be so perfect to create my angel out of shells. You can watch whole VIDEO HERE
Again it was not easy project for me since I have never made one out of shells but hey there is always have to be a first time .

Calendar page with Coffee Filters Poinsettias
As you are aware there are lots of pretty calendars in Dollar Tree so on the four I was looking for some coastal images but was unsuccessful. It seams no one is thinking coastal decor. Even though I didn’t find anything that I could use my shells with i noticed poinsettias page so decided to give a try and take a break from shells. If you follow me for some time you know I love to make flowers out of different materials . Just because i have never tried to make them yet I decided to use some coffee filters
As you can see poinsettias are red so I went for it
To stay true to crafting on the budget I used Dollar Tree pizza pan for my base but of course some details had to be introduced . You know i love me some crackle. Did you know you can make a crackle so easy with Elmers glue ? Learn all about it below.
Check all details about crackle HERE
Crackle was done so it was time to make some flowers. Check detailed video below on how to make poinsettias from coffee filters

Coastal Christmas Shell wreath
On my last day in the Christmas in July I decided to put all what I used into one . What is better then wrapping event with a bow …lol I am kidding but I did try to make a bow out of shells.
Got all together and it was time to create. To prepare for my crafting with my Facebook friends I decided to prep my canvas since I wanted my wreath to be on the flat surface. Can you see some coastal breeze coming from all this ?
As you can see I crackled my canvas again with some white paint and bit of gilding gold wax. Do you see all that teal and gold peeking through ? I absolutely love all that variation. You can for sure see more on my LIVE VIDEO HERE
As you can see I added a bit of shiplap look and followed my wreath making with a base of my favorite moss to imitate some see weed …lol. As I am on the mission to create coastal Christmas wreath
Wonder how you like my shell bow …lol with a touch of leftover ribbon that I had in a container. I save all scraps because you never know when you may need that tiny piece . You must see how I made that SHELL BOW HERE
I am not going to lie i so love my little set… Have you spotted a little baby Jesus in my shell wreath yet ? I think my last Christmas creation captured all crafts this past couple of weeks nicely together
so in love with my Christmas shell wreath
