Weaved Easter Paper Basket
I don’t know if I ever mentioned this but I love wicker baskets ! Always get stuck in places to find one to bring home. They are perfect to display items in or even at times store thing or two. I have baskets even in a bathroom ..lol Love love love to have them on display. Growing up I used to make lots of baskets with my Mom out of paper. This will be perfect Spring craft idea for all.Today I like to share with you how you can make one to store your carrots and eggs that you make to decorate for Spring. Materials needed to make weaved paper basket
- construction paper
- scissors
- hot glue
Learn How to make easy weaved basket
Measure your strips . You will need 14 1/2 inch strips ideally
Line your 6 strips on your hard surface and then one by one weave your other 6 strips across. Weaving means laying your construction paper alternatively over or under as it shows below .
SECOND TO SIXTH ROW goes as follow .. What was under in that row is over and what was over is under …lol
all is weaved so now it is time to close all off and make a basket. Make sure all strips are close together
how awesome is that weave .. love it !
So what I like to do is to hot glue ends .. start from the middle and over lap them one strip at the time form each side
continue closing all ends the same

When you are done closing all off you can cut pieces that are sticking out or simply decorate those sides with bows or flowers
Add reminding 2 strips to those ends to create criss cross handle for this perfect weaved paper basket
