How to make a folded book page wreath
Well there are so many ways you can go about making that wreath. I am going to share a way I used to make one with my Mom. We didn’t have craft supplies so wreath forms were not something we had. Don’t worry we will make that wreath happen .. We need cardboard to create its base. Love love love good cardboard projects!
As you can see materials are gathered and I am ready to make my Mama wreath as she used to do it. To make it even more fun I decided to use my dinner plate for outer circle and my soup bowl for the inside. Try to stay in the center with your bowl but don’t worry if you off center all will even out later
Utility knife is really helpful in this project.. I like to outline first with it and then cut to make sure all is safe.
Ok wreath form is finished so it is time to make it a bit fuller . I always have packing material on hand so decided to twist and hot glue it to my new book page wreath form. I promise nothing will show. Don’t you just love how all recycled items are being used? I love it. It dosn’t have to be perfect just need to be attached to our form
Now it is time to fold some easy origami vintage like book pages wreath. It is the easiest fold ever . Fold your book page in half on the long side, fold each half in half and then fold all back in half. Pictures below will explain more
How to fold your book pages
All pages are folded and now it is time to attach them to our cardboard wreath form.
Fold your folded book pages in third wrap your wreath form and hot glue it right at the edge together both sides. Easy right ?
Try to keep your rows same with every strip ..It is important to keep all nice and smooth. Make sure not to glue cardboard together so you can shift and maneuver if needed
First row is done and as you can see no shipping material is showing. All looks pretty even. Now it is time to add a second row to make it look fuller .
In this step you need to fold your book page on the angle. Make sure to watch a video that I will attach below for all details that I may missed.
A bit of embellishments of your choice and your wrath is done. My Mom used to decorate with pretty paper bow and some moss with a bit of green .. it was gorgeous
Perfect vintage wreath to bring so much character to any indoor space.
Love folding book pages. Check HERE this tree I made. Little bit of diamond dust and some glazing make those folds look even better.
As you can see I added a bit of moss , some pearl ribbon and satin tails. My favorite combination but again all is up to your space and your taste.
