Let me tell you what you’ll need to make pretzels:

  • milk
  • yeast ( instant yeast is the one I use)
  • brown sugar
  • butter
  • salt
  • flour
  • baking soda
  • cinnamon sugar

How to Make Cinnamon Sugar soft Pretzels

  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons yeast
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 4 1/2 cups flour more or less as needed

In a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, dissolve the yeast in the warm milk. When the mixture is bubbly, mix in the brown sugar, butter, one cup flour, and salt, and mix until combined.

Add the remaining flour, one cup at a time, and mix until a smooth and slightly sticky dough forms.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let rise about one hour, until doubled in size. I usually keep my bowl near the stove as I am cooking to help a rising process a bit. it takes around an hour for dow to rise for me .



Preheat the oven to 450. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Divide the dough into pieces, and roll each piece into a long skinny rope. I am usually trying to get around 18 inches out of each ball. Twist into a pretzel shape.

and let me tell you … it is not easy every time … Today was that day ..lol but I am not going to give up and continue. Funny thing my daughter was helping me too and had the same issue…. Some of them were really looking funny but it is real life over here … good think we know they are delicious in any form



Me and my daughter struggled a bit today but managed to makes some good ones . I know in the oven they will get themselves shaped a bit better.


Glaze ingredients

  • 1/3 cup baking soda
  • 3 cups warm water

In a medium bowl, mix together the warm water and baking soda until dissolved. Dip each pretzel into the baking soda mixture and place on the prepared baking sheets. Bake 7 to 11 minutes, or until golden brown.



Cinnamon sugar topping

  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

In a shallow dish, whisk together the sugar and cinnamon. Brush the pretzels with melted butter, then dip them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.





My Pretzels may look a bit brown but they are not burned as you noticed in the pictures earlier they are just loaded with cinnamon sugar . I am already drooling looking at this easy to make snack

Tips for Perfect Pretzels

Let the dough rise until doubled.
Don’t skip the baking soda bath—it gives pretzels their classic chewy crust.
Brush with melted butter while warm so the cinnamon sugar sticks.
