Rustic Woven Fall Wreath – DIY
It’s no secret, I love making wreaths especially the ones that require some intriguing technique . As I’ve made wreaths through the years, I’ve experimented with different forms and techniques. I like to share one with you today. Love Fall Home Decor! Let’s learn how to weave wreath form and make gorgeous base to evergreen nautical rope wreath. Let’s make weaved wreath!
Woven Wreath
Super fun, easy wreath that you can use through the year outside too and that is what I love! Woven wreath can be easily transformed by simply adjusting few accessories on it.
Things you need :
- rope/twine of your choice. I used thin Manila rope for my project.
Weaving is my favorite! Love to add those details to almost all. Check that broken vase makeover that was saved with some twine HERE
How to weave wreath form
The weaving process was pretty straightforward: I went over one wire and under the next, then wrapped around the inside (and outside) wire to start over again. When I reached the end of the rope, I tucked it into the back of the wreath and glued it down to keep it in place. Then I started with a new piece, keeping the same over-under pattern going.
Secure your ends of each rope on the back with hot glue and let’s decorate according to a season! I usually start with a bow that I dress up as weeks go by to be current with the seasons. Perfect evergreen rope wreath base. Nautical rope wreath
