How to Make Paper Polish Star
Super excited to share some more paper crafting. Have you ever made a polish star from paper? It is super easy but super festive way to decorate on budget for Christmas. Polish star makes perfect Christmas ornament , dough bowl or tiered tray detail. Add some lights and you have yourself gorgeous winter vignette in your window. Supplies needed to make polish star
- cardstock or book pages
- tacky glue or Elmers glue
- scissors
- wooden bead
- thread
Let’s make paper polish star
Grab your supplies and let’s have fun!
I am just using a copy paper to show you some steps . Grab you paper fold in half and outline circle on it. You will need at least 10 circles to make polish star look awesome. My circle was roughly 4 inches.
Cut your circle out and fold in half twice to have 4 creases
It is time to cut each folded line leaving around 1 inch not cut till the center. When all that is done cut in between cutted lines in a middle to double your cuts. Make sure to leave 1 inch uncut to a center
Paper polish star
grab yourself a sharpen pencil since I think it works the best in that step. Add tacky glue to the top right corner , place your pencil at angel on the opposite side , tuck your paper under and roll until you see spike. Glue on the top corner will seal your fold. Remove your pencil and repeat same on all cuts on all of your circles
Paper polish star elements are all done and ready to assemble.
Thread your needle, secure with a knot add a bead and poke on a pretty side in the middle. We do want to see nice end by wooden bead
thread a second circle in the opposite manner .. Make sure to interlock your circle spikes as you go .. It will get crowded as you go.
All is threaded and now its time to end with same bead you started with. Double thread it and pull down so your paper polish star will come into live
