Easter Bunny Planters DIY
If you follow me for some time you know I love budget friendly but elegant decor so I always look around my house for supplies …including my recycle bin. Project that I like to share with you today is simple spring Easter Bunny planters that you can do out of your tin cans. I love to keep some of them specially those big ones. Are you ready to have fun with me spring crafting? Don’t you just love good upcycle Easter projects?
Items you need to make Easter Bunny Planters
- tin cans
- spray paint (preferable choice for me but chalk paint will do too )
- bunny template or your drawing skills
Upcycle Spring Easter project
I like to start my project with bunny template … I was trying to use my Dollar Tree wooden bunny but it was too big for my can so I had to get creative since I am not an artist. As you can see I traced two circles overlapping slightly each other and then had to play around with my bunny ears. It actually wasn’t too difficult so I can do it you can too.
I strongly feel cutting my bunny was much harder ..lol
My goal is to transfer my cut out Easter Bunny onto my can. Have to be honest with you …it took me a while to figure all steps…I decided to paint one side of my can with black paint to make things easier. I used Scotch tape that I rolled into circles to secure my bunny template for easy removal later . Don’t worry if your paper template edges are not tightly secured to the can
and now it is time to have fun with spray paint … The only tip that I ca give you when you spray paint around paper is to hold your spray paint can directly straight so your template is not compromised.
As I was waiting for my spray paint to dry I decided to make a mini pom-pom to work as Easter bunny tail. Decided to use my fork to make it . If you like to see it how I am making that please check my video below .
Here is a recap video from my project if you prefer to see that
