Let’s make our Tiered Christmas tree
I have seen so many tiered trees made out there and made lots myself but this one made out of content of kitchen cupboard will be first. On my last trip to Dollar Tree I spotted set of funnels and immediately thought I can make a tree. Funnels were plastic so I had to get creative. My first thought was let’s make patterns. Let’s make my tree whimsical.
If you follow me for some time you do know that I love to decoupage, love to bring a lot of details with simple things as napkins to my projects. One of my favorite ways to decoupage is to decoupage with fire on some objects but I don’t know if that will be my route.
HERE are some fun decoupage techniques . What is the way you decoupage.
Deciding on patterns wasn’t too easy since I have so many different napkins that I could see on this project. All I knew that I have to use a napkin from my stash that is forgiving since I am dealing with round surface.
To secure perfect decoupage I decided to paint my funnels with chalk paint and decide which napkin to decoupage with first and what will be my base. Decision is made and its time to go work
As you can see I decided to add some MacKenzie Inspired black and white pumpkin shape candle container as my base. Make sure to watch video below on all details in which I added that napkin on and sprinkled a bit with diamond dust , bit of gold and some pom pom trim since I always have that on hand. Pom pom’s really brought that whimsical feel to my Christmas tree
The other 2 funnels in my Whimsical Tiered Christmas tree were not all decoupaged. Decided to add polka dots. I am so not good at it but I know I need to practice to finally get it together
Little bit of edging to keep similar feel. Napkin Decoupage on round objects is so fun when you have forgiving pattern.
Let’s put our Tiered funnel Christmas tree together
Everything with Black and White pattern looks awesome for me , But lets talk about structure of my tree . Wooden dowel will for sure help a lot here. Since I liked to leave some spaces in between each funnel my dowel that I had was a bit to short so I decided to add a piece of popsicle stick at the bottom of bigger funnel to keep my dowel higher
As I was adding me funnels I decided to hot glue each one of them at wooden dovel to make sure they will stay in distance
Absolutely love all this together with my Poinsettia flower I made. Make sure to check details HERE Super whimsical set up already .
Make sure to watch all recap below.
