Moist Orange Ricotta Pound Cake
One of my favorite pound cakes I have ever made! Moist ,refreshing and super delicious! One bite and you are hooked! I have made so many versions of this orange ricotta pound cake!
Ingredients
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened (one and a half sticks)
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 15 ounces whole milk ricotta cheese
- 3 large eggs,
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons orange zest (from one large orange)
- ¼ cup fresh orange juice (from one orange )
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 inch springform pan using butter and powdered sugar
In a large mixing bowl or stand up mixer, mix together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the ricotta cheese and mix together until on medium high speed for 4-5 minutes
- Add in the eggs, vanilla, orange zest, orange juice, baking soda, and salt, and mix until well combined.
- add in the flour and mix until just combined, scraping down the sides of the bowl to fully incorporate all of the ingredients
- Pour the cake batter into the prepared springform pan.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until the cake is set and a toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in pan for 10-15 minutes before removing the collar and base of the pan. Cool on a wire rack completely. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

ORANGE RICOTTA POUND CAKE

- 2 tablespoons orange zest (from one large orange)

- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl or stand up mixer, mix together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the ricotta cheese and mix together until on medium high speed for 4-5 minutes

3. Bake at 350 for 55 min or until toothpick comes up clean
4 .Cool of before confection sugar
