Adding crips 3 D details wasn’t easy. With this texture paint you can do it all. You can paint with it and on it. you can stencil and make textured art that I always wanted to do! Let’s make homemade mixed media texture art paste diy

There are lots of different kind of pastes you can find out there but they are a bit pricey and the ones I bought always missed that one 3D atributes so I decided to make my own after feeling its consistency.

I FINALLY GOT IT !!

SUPPLIES NEEDED TO MAKE HOMEMADE mixed media texture PASTE

  • Plaster of Paris
  • Gorilla Glue
  • Compound lightweight

Let’s make homemade texture paint

Before we start gather your supplies. Use silicone mat to mix all my ingredients on it . They are available in the kitchen supply area at the Dollar Tree

I like to mix small quantities at the time so it is always fresh

  • 1 Tablespoon of Compound
  • 1 Tablespoon of Gorilla glue
  • 1 1/5 tablespoon of plaster of Paris

Kneel all together with your putty knife for a good 2 minutes until all is combined. It should be nice and smooth

Your paste should be a bit thicker then toothpaste so if it is looser you just add a bit of Plaster or Paris but NO MORE then HALF of tablespoon at the time.

Ideally you would love to leave this paste to air dry to make sure all is holding its original shape that you applied.

It can be stored in air tight container wrapped in a saran wrap for 48 hours. At least that is what I tried so far

As I mentioned this texture paste does it all! Sooo happy that i can use for so many projects! See some of my tries below
