How to Make Egg Carton Roses
Don’t you just love to create pieces that look like “million bucks” but yet they don’t cost you much ? I so love to try new things using everyday items. Today I like to have fun with paper egg cartons again. Material that all of us have at home. Growing up in Easter Europe in order for us to have pretty things we had to make them not only to save money but also because we had no crafting stores to make things easier. To tell you the truth I am super grateful that my Mom taught me to look at things differently. We loved to create decor pieces especially flowers out of random materials. Supplies needed for this rose egg carton rose project
Steps to make easy egg carton rose
- separate 2 compartment from egg carton making sure it does have all sides
- separate each so we can begin to form flowers
- round off each portion in the rose petals. As you know those petals are a bit wider so I decided to cut them lower . Repeat the same steps on each compartment
- both pieces are ready for next step
- remove bottom from one egg carton compartment
- time to paint your egg carton rose petals before assembly
- when paint dries roll the piece without buttom and secure that with hot glue. That will make a center of our rose
Just because i like to display my roses as a wall decor idea in the bouquet stem will be needed. Floral wire will serve perfectly as my egg carton rose stem
- round off end of floral wire and puncture compartment with bottom and secure with hot glue. Insert rolled up earlier center and secure with hot glue and you are done! How easy was to that to make egg carton rose ?
