How to make Easy Snowflake
Why dont we go back to basics of crafting this time around. Let’s shop our house and use some clothespins and make fun evergreen decor that can also serve as Christmas Tree topper , ornament or even dough bowl filler idea. How cool is that. Perfect evergreen decor. Look into your drawers and bring your clothespins and let’s create fun 3d clothespins snowflake. Have you made one yet? Let’s make evergreen decor.
Supplies needed to make a 3D Snowflake
- clothespins
- hot glue sticks and glue gun
- paint
Have you ever worked with clothespins? I love clothespins projects. Growing up in Eastern Europe they were crafting materials to go to all the time. We made people out of them , we decorated containers , made chairs and of course made snowflakes. I have some documented on my blog and YouTube channel so make sure to check them HERE

Steps to make clothespins 3D snowflake
- remove clips from your clothespins
- glue with wood glue or hot glue back of your clothes pins to create X
- add additional clothespins into spaces
Start glueing wider portion to create X shape
- take 2 half clothes pins and hot glue them on to a center of your star as is shows below with flat portion down
- take glued clothespins and glue it right in the center where half clothespins touch
- add glued clothespins to the side and star to fill one side of the snowflake. Make sure to watch Video LIVE HERE
- Repeat same steps on the other side to create mirror effect and achieve that 3D snowflake.

TA DA .. and the clothespins snowflake is done .. you can fill it up less it is up to you. It all depends where you are going to display it
I had so much fun that I made another one with half of clothes pins less fuller a bit differently that you can also see it in the video above and of course I had to make 5 point star. You know I love it! Dont’t you think that snowflake makes perfect tree topper idea?

You can of course leave it plain.. maybe add a bit of wax to bring some dark or light distress highlights or just spray paint your clothespins snowflake.
