How to make Cornucopia Fall Festive Centerpiece
Looking for some fun budget friendly Festive Fall Centerpiece? Let me show you cool budget friendly fall decor idea! I absolutely loved making this project! Let me show you how to make cornucopia. This was on my to do list for the longest time ever. It was time and I knew I had to try it with my Sassies! Hope this project will inspire you to make one for yourself. I know you can buy one but as a creators we always have lots of materials on hand so its easy to start making own one. Grab your jute rope for this crafting idea and let’s have fun!
Supply list to make Cornucopia Centerpiece
- jute rope or raffia. It depends what you have on hand
- brown paper bag
- elmers glue
- picks of your choice
How to make easy Fall Centerpiece
Grab your materials and let’s have fun with this fall decor idea! Just because I have always lots of brown bags I decided to use that for the body of my cornucopia. You can use newspapers too. Make it easy on yourself and use what you have
My goal here was to smush my brown bag and create a shape of cornucopia . You do want to have lots of air pockets within your brown bag to make nice shape. To make things easier I decided to hot glue some areas of my bag.
Ideally before you start forming your cornucopia you may want to add your jute rope to a mix of school glue with water. I like to use 2 parts of glue to one part of water . Submerge your jute rope into a mix and let it soak a bit
Messy crafting is so much fun. HERE are details on how I made rustic rope bowl that displays beautifully my Mother Nature goodies. Make sure to check that project.
Directions are super easy .. Start wrapping your jute rope around your freshly shaped cornucopia. You could create your own pattern or just go randomly like I did.
Let it dry really good for 24h when you are satisfied with your cornucopia. It doesn’t look like fall festive centerpiece as of now but trust me it will . As you can see I set my jute rope crafting on top of the bowl I soaked my rope .
Reveal time!
Check your project after 24 to make sure all is completely dry and remove brown paper from inside.
