You are not going to believe how easy is this project! It is all in paper folds that are super easy! No cutting book pages required.
To have your witch body nice and full make sure that you have a book of at least 100 pages. Book that had on hand was over 200 pages so I decided to cut in half and then remove its covers so all pages are intact.
Love folding book pages! This wreath is for sure the one everyone should make. Make sure to check all details HERE
How to fold book pages
There are couple ways to fold your book. My intention was to create a floating witch that I like to install on pedestal. Notice how small is last fold.
Free standing witch last fold pictured below
If you like to have your witch standing on your own just fold wider in the last step like it shows here. There will be no need for any stand.
Folding 100 pages goes so fast. I was actually listening to news and I was done before first comercial started ..lol You can do it ! I promise
Ok pages are folded so now it is time to grab both ends and glue them together. At times core of the book is still so you will need to bend it a bit .
Just because I love to experiment I decided to add some design to my book page witch with a help of stencils. I wrapped my stencil around book and sprayed it gently with black paint diluted a bit with water in my small bottle. How awesome that came out!
Ok it is time to make a witch hat and of course her head. My plan is to use fully book pages.
We will need to different size rosettes , cone and rolled up paper
Make sure to check VIDEO on all details about this project HERE
I like to form my cone from the corner of my book page and of course secure with hot glue on the connection and then cut its end to your desired height. So excited because I can see my witch diy coming together so nicely! Dont you just love fall book page diy?
Making rosettes is so easy. Plead fold your 2 book pages, fold in half and contect ends together as it is shown below. Smaller rosette will work for collar around witch head and bigger one will be a trim to her hat.
I love drama so adding a bit of black paint to rosette edges and hat will for sure bring some more character to my fall paper crafting
Cone and big rosette make awesome hat! If you follow me for some time you do know that I love bling so my witch Diy will have to have some too. Love me already my book page Halloween diy a lot!
I was lucky to have a wig in the house so I decided to cut cut couple strips out of it for my witch hair. Just because I had a mixed black paint I decided to spray paint it too and see if that would work and it did!!!
Time to assemble all pieces in our Halloween diy!
Hair looks pretty scary now but all will be corrected as pieces fall together
How cute is this book page witch!!
We had so much fun making them so we have now 2 ! One is floating and one free standing . My book page witches will keep each other company
