From Scraps to Bloom: DIY Denim Hydrangea Flowers
When life gives you old jeans… you make flowers! This denim hydrangea is one of my favorite upcycled projects yet. It’s soft, textured, and full of personality — just like those worn-out pants you couldn’t part with. Let me show you how I turned scraps into something beautifully bloomy. Are your ready to make denim Hydrangeas easy ? Love easy denim flowers !

🧵 What You’ll Need:
✂️ Supplies I Used:
Old jeans (varied shades for dimension)
Sharp fabric scissors got mine HERE
Hot glue gun + glue sticks
Floral wire or a faux flower stem
✂️ Step-by-Step Instructions Hydrangea Cluster

Cut the Petals – I decided to use my bleached denim jacket I thrifted into 3 inch wide strips and then cut them into 3 inch squares .. Ideally it is good to have all different sizes for real look of flower

Fold your square in half , Cut on open side almost to the end and round off all cut edges… to reveal like four leaf clover. Make sure to watch video below for all detailed instructions . You will need lots of them for 5×6 cluster

There are so many ways to make cluster … You could use stryrofoam ball but that is just too perfect .. In order to get that natural look I decided to use brown paper to create my base for denim hydrangea cluster .All details how to form is in a video below
Let the fun of petal install begin .. Grab each clover like piece you created and at the beginning push with dot of hot glue into your brown paper cluster one by one. As you go down the way you can use other techniques that i also showed in a video for more real looking hydrangea bloom

In my case beacuse i had bleached denim I was trying to group those shades together for natural look
