Evergreen Moss Decor Ideas
You don’t even know how excited I am about this post. I have made most of those projects with my friends on Facebook but I thought it will be nice to make a mark on my website. I would love to show couple of projects we made to celebrate Mother Nature to honor Earth Day. Moss is easy to use for crafting and these DIY projects are so simple you can even get the kids involved. Are you ready to have fun with us and create moss wall decor? I don’t know if you know the you can craft with live and preserved moss.
LIVE OR PRESERVED MOSS?
When crafting with moss, you can choose to purchase preserved moss or live moss. Preserved moss is treated and dyed. It is not alive, but it’s a great option for home decor because it gives the look of living plants without having to worry about keeping it alive.
But live moss is one of the easiest houseplants you can grow. It just needs a couple of hours of sunlight and light misting of water about twice a week. That’s it!
Supplies needed for our moss projects
- “>canvas
- preserved moss of any kind
- hot glue gun
- embellishments
There are so many kinds of moss out there .. Let me talk to you about my favorite kinds
Reindeer moss is my all time favorite. It usually comes in clusters that feel a bit like sponge. You can get them in so many colors but my favorite one of all is of course green .. all shades of it and let me tell you there are lots of them out there.
Spanish Moss is another kind of moss I love .. of course green is my favorite but I am not going to shy away from brown one at all. I am positive you are familiar with brown Spanish moss
