Chicken Pesto Sub
Do you love subs? They are perfect to serve for lunch or even dinner. Good think you can use any bread with that! Love to experiment even in the kitchen. One day I had extra piece of bread that needed to e put to use before it had to be turned into breadcrumbs or croutons. There are so many ways you can prepare that sub but let’s start from the beginning. I usually look what I have on hand . It is usually chicken and pesto.. so all was easy. Ingredients needed to make Chicken Pesto sub
- bread
- pesto
- chicken
- Italian spices
- Mozzarella cheese shredded

How to make Chicken Pesto Sub
I like to cut my boneless chicken breast into thin strips and sauté it with my favorite Italian spices in the pan for few minutes.
Those thin strips of chicken cook so quick.
- cut bread in half
- spread pesto on each half
- spread cooked chicken in one layer on each half of your bread

As you can see I didn’t cover my bread fully and that is ok .. We love to add our cheese
You could add a slices of tomato if you like or any other topping but let’s keep it simple this time around
Final step in this chicken pest sub is mozzarella cheese !!! Time to sprinkle all around
Preheat your oven to 350 and bake until cheese melts
