Steps to make make a Vintage Easter Egg
Blow you balloon to its 60% capacity so it is not too big and tight
Apply layer of Mod -Podge and cover that with small pieces of toilet paper …yup nothing else then that. Cover your ballon around 60% with paper
Repeat that process few times. Don’t worry about wrinkles …They will look lovely later. Just paper and lots of Mod-Podge. I usually try to add at least 4 layers of paper. Trust me it goes quick and it is soooooo much fun! Leave it to dry at least overnight. When all is dry paint lightly with your color choice. I am simply using my trusty chalk paint. When all dries again cover with thin layer of Mod-Podge just to set all up.
It usually takes around a day for all to dry properly. You don’t want to speed that process at all. The most satisfying step for me is balloon popping…ha ha ha. Let the balloon do its thing …It will slowly shrink and clear our spring egg all by itself. Dont you love this simple paper mache egg diy already?
All is dry! Let reveal our Easter egg
Moment of truth! Let hope that I am not going to embarrass myself here

add a stand in a form of nest and decorate inside with succulents or any seasonal decor .
My favorite is to add some seasonal flowers to may paper mache egg diy with some plain mini eggs. Perfect vintage little vignette.
There are so many ways yu can use that egg with your Spring Easter decor…. If you would like to use a real flower arrangement or a potted flower to decorate you egg, simply put a mason jar inside this way water won’t ruin the paper and you can enjoy your gorgeous spring decor for a long time!
I usually like to make several of them and use them as planters too.
