Ok, we got all ready so its time to add some texture to my coffee can. I like to add layers of texture on my can. It is a good idea to dry in between coats or work on each side as the other is drying .
Texture time !
Love so much how homemade texture paint is bringing character to my smushed coffee can planter.
I am on the mission to make my upcycled coffee can diy even more interesting introducing my molds. There are so many ways you can fill those out . You can fill those with salt dough or store bought clay or as I did in this project I used hot glue . If you follow me for some time you know i am not good with waiting for my pieces to dry so hot glue was my favorite . Love crafting with molds but now I fill them out with foam clay that you can get on Amazon HERE
As my molds are drying it is time to work on some more character on my coffee can. Little bit of clear and dark wax was just perfect to accent that texture
My upcycled coffee can diy is looking better and better with each step. I was on the mission to arrange as many flowers on my can as i could .. Loved to overlap them and go past can edges .
Little bit of Sari silk wrapped around thick floral wire that will serve as handle and my smushed can planter with molds is all ready. Love how shabby chic that little silk accent plays out. Make sure to watch video below how this project came to life
