How to make plastic spoons ladybugs and bees

Grab your plastic spoons and let’s have fun!

They are soo simple to make but there is one tip that I would love to point out! One insect is made with 3 spoons.

  • cut 2 spoons really short .. those will be your wings
  • cut 1 spoon with a bit of neck .. that will be your insect of your choice body . It will be easier to install head later. We need some support
  • Lay short cut spoons over third one and hot glue them right at the tip

I like to paint middle spoon before I assemble them.

Here is my beginning stages or bumble bee . Just because I love Mackenzie Childs details of black and white I decided to use my duck tape in that pattern for the middle spoon and paint its wings.

Half wood bead makes awesome head . I have used also a round wooden beads . It all up to you what you have.
