I am super excited about this project! Every time I go places I always look for fun objects that I can practice my painting.. practice my textures.On my last Dollar Tree I noticed white butter dish . Didn’t have big plans for it but I knew I will do something with it soon. Had a feeling that it is going to be something addicting so I picked 3. Yup I did pick that many. If you follow me for some time you do know I love MacKenzie Childs merchandise so one of those butter dishes will get its upscale diy with courtly check pattern! Those fruits below were my Thrift store find ! I was so excited to put some patterns on them too. Love to pick inexpensive items or thrift store finds and turn them into hight end looking beauties.

- chalk paint
- white acrylic paint

High end transformation of Dollar Tree butter dish
- paint your dish with chalk paint in a color of your choice. I only added chalk paint to dome since I do want to use that dish on a daily basis
- a bit of gold liquid leaf went only on the dish portion edges
There are so many ways to decorate this this.. You can use napkin and decoupage on it but this time I went for my rub on transfers. Picked my small image and cut all around it
Super fun process to deal with .. just stick and rub on . You can see all details right in the video below
There are so many ways you can go about this project. My goal was to paint my plastic Dollar Tree butter dish courtly check pattern in black and white on it. I like to plan all that before so I scetched all with pencil beforehand
Little bit of highlights with white acrylic paint and some gold brought my butter dish to live
Coat of Dura Clear or Triple thick and your work is protected. It is waterproof but not dishwasher proof. Love me my high end diy that transformed my butter dish

Love me some Dollar Tree upscale diy with courtly check pattern. I just cant wait to use that dish in the kitchen. As you can see I only painted outside of it even thou all I used is safe. Good thing also about this project is that you can wash it .. Dura Clear makes it waterproof but not dishwasher proof
