Fall Pumpkin Topiary Tree
Well if you follow me for some time you do know I love pumpkins. I am not only making them I also buy them. Love to decorate with pumpkins and add them to all areas in my house. I have so many different sizes and shapes in my stash so its time to put them to use! Today I like to share how you can organize them into fun fall pumpkin tree or topiary! I have never made those yet so it maybe a challenge but I am determined. I always look for some fun easy fall centerpiece ideas so maybe my pumpkin tree will be it. Are you ready for another fall decor idea
Supplies needed to make Fall Pumpkin Topiary
- large cone ..At least 16 inches
- pumpkins of different size
- any fall picks
- hot glue and glue sticks
Let’s make Fall pumpkin topiary tree
As with anything I do this project was triggered by all leftover pieces I had in my stash. I just happen to have leftovers of my cone Winter Tree I made on Facebook with my friends LIVE. Love to recycle some of my projects into another one. Just because leaves were still perfectly intact I decided to work with it. I actually loved that I already have a background in a form of leaves. If you are working with clean slate I would add randomly real preserved leaves or artificial ones that you have . No need to cover fully entire surface.
It is a good idea to pull all little pieces that you have so you can get sort of a game plan for this fall decor idea. As you can see I have lots of Dollar Tree picks .. Some were with flowers and pine cones too. Love variety!
So my plan was first to attach those to my tree randomly. I had only 3 of those picks so it was easy. Use hot glue with some staplers if needed to attach to your cone. Sort your pumpkins you have and start with the bigger ones from the bottom. I decided to glue bigger ones first again randomly around my cone. That way I can fill in between spaces with smaller ones.
Not going to lie at times I thought my fall pumpkin tree idea was not going to happen and come together but I was just adding little berries, flowers and leaves in between pumpkins and boom all started to make sense and come together.
There will be no tree without topper! So I decided to paint my finial with MacKenzie Childs Pattern to complement my buffalo plaid pumpkins on the tree. LOVE MACKENZIE CHILDS PATTERNS! And my fall pumpkin tree that can also be a centerpiece is all done! It is a hot mess express with all different pumpkins on it but I love it! Little bit of everything! I am positive those additional berry picks , flowers and leaves that stick out made my tree. Even though cone can stay on its own I decided to use my soup bowl as a stand to elevate even more
