Easter Flower Bunny Butt

I am obsessed with bunny butts this year for some reason ..  I just can’t believe how cute this project came out! Today I decided to pop on Facebook with quick Easter craft MacKenzie Childs inspired that I like to share with you all too. If you follow me for some time you know I love to make flowers and I love paper. Coffee filters are my go to material when I try something new. Are you ready to make with me flower bunny butt? It came out soo cute. Lets make some coffee filter flowers shall we? Easter paper crafting here we go

Supplies needed to make this project

  • wooden block or picture frame
  • coffee filters
  • cardboard
  • floral wire
  • hot glue and glue gun

  • Let’s make Easter bunny butt!

I always love to practice my paper project with coffee filters but before we get into details make sure to have your coffee filters nicely dyed

Make sure to check this post HERE with several ways I dye my coffee filters .

Ok, coffee filters are chosen and its time to have fun. There are so many flowers you can make out of them but my choice for this Easter bunny butt craft was to cut a hydrangeas. They are full of details and simply interesting.

Check my BLOG POST HERE to see all details on how to make coffee filter Hydrangea . Don’t you think it was a good choice? Nice and fluffy hydrangeas bunny butt. I like to bulk up 4 to 5 coffee filters to make a cluster.

Let’s make coffee filter bunny ears

Ok, now its time to make a bunny ears. Just because I have my coffee filters out I decided to make my bunny ears out of same material but slightly lighter. Grab 2 coffee filters and cut your shape of bunny ears.

Grab your floral wire and hot glue in between 2 coffee filters as it shows below. Make sure to have your wire follow outline of your cut. That way we will assure that our ears have some dimension as you pinch it together

How cool that looks already! Can’t wait to finish it all!

There will be no bunny butt without feet right .. and here is my dilema. Dollar Tree have super cute cut outs that I wanted to use but as I added them to my wood block they seemed to be way to big and were drawing too much attention in my eyes. I think my cardboard feet outlined with some pearls were more gently and better fitting. Little bit of napkin ply’s and some paint and my cardboard started to look fluffier.

A little bit of paint for the edges to bring some drama and MacKenzie Childs inspired detail that I love! There are so many ways I could of decorate that edge… Satin ribbon was my original plan but black and white stripes won. Perfect Easter craft
