Easiest Cutest Easter Bunny Diy
Did you know that hearts are beginning to all .. You can can make so many fun crafts just with hearts. We are not talking about shamrocks only .. we are talking about gorgeous flowers too… Since I always have hearts around in my crafting stash I decided to put them into some fun Easter Spring cardboard crafting Decor diy. Have you ever tried to make fun bunny out of heart? If not don’t worry , I will show it to you. It is so easy that this could be awesome spring craft with kids. Cardboard crafting at its best! Let’s make Easter bunny with me that can also be cutest Spring Tree ornament!
Supplies needed to make Easter Bunny
- cardboard or wooden hearts
- scraps of fabric or ribbon
- acrylic paint
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
How to make Easter Bunny
If you don’t have wooden hearts you can easy make same bunny out of cardboard. I promise no one will know it was made out of cardboard. Sketch or trace a 2 hearts on a cardboard at least 3 inches high. Bunny ears are up to you but 3 inches are my favorite height too.
To camouflage our cardboard I decided to make some crackle finish on it with Elmers glue. It is super easy technique. Make sure to check details HERE
Make sure to dry well your paint to expose nice crackle on it and of course hide that it is made out of cardboard shaped into heart. Love me some cardboard spring crafting
Since we are on the mission to hide what is our cardboard Easter bunny made out of grab your twine and outline its features. Add some rosy cheeks with acrylic paint too
All is done .. some rosy highlights are added and it is time to assembly our cardboard Easter bunny
grab scraps of ribbon or any fabric you have and let’s make a nice collar. I am using scraps of drop cloth that I stitched on floral wire just because that was all handy. Thread and needle would work too..lol
insert your little details under bunny face with a bit of hot glue
Let’s not forget about our easter bunny nose and some sweet details like a bow. Just becaue I had floral wire I decided to use it for whiskers too.
