Let the transformation of horseshoe begin
I was just lucky to stumble on this wooden cutout of horseshoe. It had some kind of metal writing on it but it was bended so I decided to remove all
At the beginning I wanted to add some texture to it with my molds or hot glue but as I was giving my wood cutout a plain coat of paint all changed
Time to add some texture with some baking soda and paint. Process is super easy .. My choice was to mix brownish like rust looking paint .
This whole technique is all about dipping your paint brush into baking soda with some paint on it. You can add as much you like .. or as little but it is important to wait for your paint to dry in between layers
As my project was air drying I decided to work on the next steps .. My goal was to make some roses out of book pages .. Super easy ones and form them into tree of life. If you didn’t fold the yet grab details HERE on my blog.
Paint is dry so it is time to put all together.. Check out how rustic my horseshoe look like now .. Love it. My tree of life project is coming together! Super excited about that
Paint is dry so its time to create rustic horseshoe tree of life. My book pages roses are all rolled out and some paper sticks for the tree trunk so I think I am ready
Just because my horseshoe had some kind of interest on one side only I decided to cut out an oval and hot glue across
Make sure to watch full RECAP here on YouTube how all came together below
