So let’s begin!
To make my life easier since I can really draw I went on line and printed out a bunny to simply trace on my cardboard. I chose to have a standing up bunny.
it already looks cute the way it is but I decided to add a bit more detail to it. A nice oval egg like looking shape inside the bunny cutout is the one I ended up with. Utility knife really helped me a lot in this process so please take your time if you choose to use it. Don’t worry if your lines are not perfect I have solution for that.
To cover imperfections in our cutout I decided to use a think strips of cardboard that I separated just as you see on the first picture. Love to see that corrugated edge now. It will for sure add some detail to your bunny cutout. I ended up hot gluing smooth side to the edge just as second picture show.
As I was outlining my bunny with corrugated cardboard strips I decided to simply decorate entire oval with swirls. Hot glue is really helpful in this process. Have fun and let your imagination go wild. As you can see I started with simple loops that ended up forming here and there some flowers. I love flowers so I am not surprised
Love the way bunny looks now! Just because it is made out of cardboard I like to bring some kind of support to it so I put my Dollar Tree frames backs into use. If you don’t have them you can for sure use a cardboard too.
To make them more appealing I decided to put my chalk paint to use and paint them slightly. Didn’t really cover them completely because my plan was to use some of my Spanish moss for the top.
Installation time!
As you can see I decided to paint my entire bunny with chalk paint to have that uniformed look. Love how little of the brown from my corrugated cardboard matches brown tones of my Spanish Moss
Just to make things looking more happier I decided to add a flower to its tail. If you follow me for some time you know I love to make flowers so I went for it. Love to make Coffee Filters flowers.
