Mandala Candy Corn Dot Pumpkin

Today I like to introduce you to a wonderful world of dots.On my recent Amazon shopping spree I got myself a set of dotting tools just to try and I am hooked Welcome to my series of painting with dots .. my new addition! I am now obsessed with dots ! I don’t know many that is not. Dots are so playful! Are you ready to explore dotting world with me ? Let’s work on mandala candy corn design on my paper mache pumpkin! I have painted so many pieces in the last couple of days… As like anybody else I started on the paper then went onto rocks and now I so wanted to try other surfaces. Super excited to explore

Supplies needed to paint mandala candy corn pumpkin
- pumpkin
- dotting tool
- acrylic paint (yellow,orange and white
- liquid gold
How to paint mandala candy corn on round surface
I chose to use my paper mache pumpkin for this project since it was sort of un eventful and thought it would be easy to practice something new. As you can see it doesn’t even have pumpkin sections on it. When I bought it i thought it would be perfect for decoupage but hey you know me I have ideas popping into my head all the time. This time I decided to paint Candy corn pattern with doodle dots . Not going to lie felt a bit overwhelmed but I thought i was ready
I decided to paint my pumpkin black with acrylic paint. I would suggest to first to cover your pumpkin with Mod Podge before painting background color if you are dealing with paper mache pumpkin so paint is not being absorbed. That will explain why my color dots were fading away. Rest assure I found a way to bring them back without starting my project all over. Make sure to see that tip at at the end
Grab your dotting tool and organize your dowels from smallest to biggest and start your dots. Make sure not to touch your surface with dowel just leave paint as you press. Notice that I interlock dots in each row
I thought descending dots over biggest dot were the best idea. I wanted to repeat candy corn colors over my paper mache pumpkin diy. My fall decor idea is coming together for sure

As I mentioned earlier I was on the mission to enhance my fading away dots so decided to try epoxy to see if that will help and to my surprise it did help! I got myself a nice porcelain like pumpkin now! Absolutely love that. Mixing epoxy was easy. To make sure all is nicely drying i decided to hang my pumpkin so bottom of it was flawless
