How to Make Easy Drop Cloth Flower

If you follow me for some time you know I like to try new things and of course love to put random things together often forming some kind of floral design. Today I like to put my old whisk to you use. It was just falling apart as I was using it so it was time to put in the crafting stash. Are you ready to have fun with me ! Can you guess what we are going to make with it? If you guessed flower … you got that right! Let’s make some flowers shall we ? Let’s put some drop cloth with it. I am so excited about this recycle diy


Supplies needed to make a drop cloth

  • drop cloth or any fabric scraps
  • wire whisk
  • hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • poly fill

Got my supplies out and decided to have even more fun with it . I was debating if i should decoupage some napkins or use some stencils and have fun with them. Drop cloth is one of my favorites to work with. Made so many projects with them . Check my Vintage Drop Cloth decor HERE

Love me some messy projects especially when they turn so cool. Texture mix that I created is absolutely awesome especially when you are looking for detail.

How pretty is that ! Love love love what I see. There is no reason and rhyme to how I did my stencils . My goal at this point was to have fun. Shaping petals out of drop cloth detailed with floral details will be so much fun

It took a while to have my texture paint to dry but that is ok .. All was ready for my Crafting time with my friends on Facebook. You can watch all HERE



As you can see my petals were just cut to fit loosely each arm of my wire whisk with random details from my textured stencils. If you follow me for some time you know I don’t sew so I hot glued sides and sandwiched them together leaving opening at the bottom so it would be easy to make my drop cloth flower

Decided to trim my easy flower it slightly with some rope to have nice clean edge.

When all is secured it is time to slip each drop cloth petal on each arm of the whisk and fill it with poly fill so it has that nice puffiness to it but of course that is optional

Let’s think center of wire whisk flower

You know i love me some interesting centers to my flowers so that was a difficult decision. I have tried so many things but it was decided by my friends on facebook to bring some coffee filters to it . Wonder what you think about that
