Dot Art Resin Pumpkin
I can’t believe I attempted this project but if you follow me for some time you know I love to experiment. I was sitting one evening having so much fun learning my way around painting with dots. My goal was to practice fun way to paint Christmas ornaments with dots but all I had around was pumpkins. They are round and I have so many so why not try it right.It came out soo good for my first try that I decided to pour resin over to make it look even better. Pumpkins are so much fun to work on! Check HERE my paper mache pumpkin I bought at Target dollar spot. It didn’t have any sections visible to an eye so it was easier to paint 3 colors. Another awesome tutorial how to paint easy mandala pattern .
How to dot paint on the pumpkin
As you can see I covered my pumpkin with a good coat of charcoal chalk paint. Yes I could keep it brighter color but thought dark color will hide some of those bumps my pumpkin was full of. Notice that I made my dots in the middle of each section of pumpkin and then went couple inches lower to make another set right on the lower portion in between sections. That is the easiest how to learn how to paint easy mandala pattern.
Used my smaller dotting tool to connect them and I got myself pretty decent looking zigzag . Can you imagine that on Christmas ornament? I can’t wait to try it. Love me already my dot art pumpkin!

As we with everything I do little gold here and there .. couple valances at the end to dress it up a bit and of course couple drags at the end… Those drags were not easy on my pumpkin bumpy surface.
How stinking awesome this pumpkin looks now! It took 12 hours to dry hanging so it is beautifully rounded and it was sooo worthy. Don’t you think so ?
