Christmas Tree Pull Apart Bread

Today I like to introduce to you another fun addition to our Christmas menu. If you follow me for some time you do know that I like to follow our Christmas dinner menu traditions as close as i can. On Christmas day we have meatless meal It is a hard one for my kids so I like to add some meals or side dishes that they will love. Let’s make Christmas tree pull apart cheese bread. This one is loved by my kids a lot and so easy to make. It is perfect addition to our Christmas Eve menu or a side dish or appetizer during Christmas. Ingredients

  • Mozzarella cheese or even better mozzarella sticks
  • Colby-Monterey Jack cheese or again sticks
  • 16 oz can large biscuits (we used Pillsbury Grands, 8 biscuits)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 3 tablespoons finely grated Parmesan
  • 1 cup tomato sauce

How to make easy pull apart bread

This recipe is so easy. We are going to be using Pillsbury Biscuits to make things easier

  • Prep your cheese. Using cheese sticks is much easier but today I am going to use what I have. That means grated cheese. Cut each biscuit into fourths


  • Just because I am using grated cheese I am using a teaspoon of mixed cheese and inserting it into a dough ball, pinch the seams together and then roll into a ball .

    It is Christmas so its time to roll our bread dough into Christmas tree right . Make sure to grease your cookie pan or before you place your balls. Place them close together. Christmas tree bread is ready to cook

    Melt butter in the microwave then stir in the garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush butter mixture over the biscuit balls.

    sprinkle a bit with extra cheese if you like and of course a bit of parsley to bring natural Christmas tree feel.

    Bake 15-17 minutes or until golden brown. You can turn the oven to broil and brown the tops for a minute or so if you like.

    Time to make a try test and see if our Christmas tree bread is good. Thank goodness I always have extra dough balls to try it. Perfect Christmas appetizer for sure. It always comes out perfect

    Christmas Pull Apart Cheese Bread

    Ingredients

    • mozzarella ideally sticks
    • Colby-Monterey Jack cheese or again sticks
    • 16 oz can large biscuits we used Pillsbury Grands, 8 biscuits
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
    • 2 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
    • 3 tablespoons finely grated Parmesan
    • 1 cup tomato sauce
    • 1 cup tomato sauce

    Instructions

    • Heat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.

    • Cut each cheese stick into 4 pieces .

    • Push a piece of cheese into a dough ball, pinch the seams together and then roll into a ball again.

    • Place biscuit balls seam side down and next to each other to form a tree shape on the cookie sheet.

    • Melt butter in the microwave then stir in the garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush butter mixture over the biscuit balls.

    • Bake 15-17 minutes or until golden brown. You can turn the oven to broil and brown the tops for a minute or so if you like.

    • Sprinkle the top of the "tree" with fresh parsley and parmesan cheese.

    • Warm tomato sauce in the microwave and serve alongside Christmas tree pull apart bread.
