
DIY Oval Wood Tray Makeover
Ever buy a pretty oval frame and think, “This could be more than just wall art”? That’s exactly what happened with this craft kit from my friend. It’s technically a wood frame — but with a little creativity, I turned it into a functional, decorative tray using hot glue, paint, and a glossy layer of UV resin on my tray. Let’s make oval frame tray diy together

🧰 Supplies I Used:
Oval wood frame/craft kit HERE
Acrylic or Chalk paint (any color you love)
Rub on Transfer get it HERE or napkin
UV resin + UV lamp from Amazon (aff) HERE
Hot glue gun
Rub ‘n Buff, gold trim, etc.

🪄 Steps to Make Oval tray DIY
Paint the oval frame any color you like and let it dry.

in my case I opted out to interest with hot glue. You could make your own crackle background with paint and Elmer’s glue. See steps HERE or watch recap below in a video
Here is my favorite part ! Rub on transfers .. I just happened to have some left out of my vanity project so I decided to use on my ovals. It is really easy process. Just remove backing and rub but please see details in a video below at the

Apply UV resin across the inner surface and cure it under a UV lamp. Add gold detail or trim for extra flair. Style and enjoy!
